Monitor your Analytics

Monitor your recruitment and website performance using purpose-built dashboards in Access Attract Evo.

Written by Grace Ndabananiye

Overview

This article helps you understand and use Analytics in Access Attract Evo. Analytics replaces the previous standard and advanced reports with purpose-built dashboards, giving you clearer visibility of your website and recruitment performance.

Where Access also provides your Customer Relationship Management (CRM) or Applicant Tracking System (ATS), Analytics can bring data together into a single view. Covering the full candidate journey from first website visit through to placement.

📌 Note: This feature is being rolled out progressively from ## March. If you do not yet have access, it will be available to you soon. Please contact your account manager if you have any questions.

Key benefits

Analytics is designed to help you:

  1. Understand how candidates move through your website and application funnel.

  2. Identify where users are dropping off before completing an application.

  3. Monitor day-to-day website and job activity.

  4. Compare performance across traffic sources, devices, consultants, and locations.

  5. Make better decisions about where to optimise your recruitment website and processes.

  6. Track a fuller candidate journey where CRM or ATS data is also available.

Before you start

Before using Analytics, make sure you are aware of the following:

  • You'll need to be on Access Attract Evo.

  • Analytics data is populated via your Google Analytics connection.

    • If your dashboard appears empty, check that Google Analytics is connected to your site and that your site has sufficient traffic.

📌 Note: If Google Analytics is connected but your dashboard remains empty, contact your Customer Success Manager or raise a support request.

Using the Analytics dashboards

Once inside Analytics, you can scroll through the available dashboards. Each dashboard is presented in a single scrollable view so that related metrics can be reviewed together without needing to switch between multiple tools or back-end reports.

This layout makes it easier to review performance, compare metrics, and spot trends or issues quickly.

Personalising and exporting dashboards

The Analytics dashboards offer a range of options to help you get the most out of the data:

  • Filter and adjust dates: Filter by date range and other criteria to focus on the period or segment most relevant to you.

  • Resize widgets: Individual charts and widgets can be made larger or smaller so you can focus on the metrics that matter most.

  • Export charts: Individual charts can be downloaded as a PDF or SVG image, or shared with others.

  • View underlying data: Click through to view the raw data table behind any chart.

  • Self-serve reporting: If you need something more bespoke, you can use Data Engine to access the underlying data and build your own reports.

    • This is particularly useful if you want to connect your Analytics data to a third-party tool such as Power BI or Tableau, or tell a story that combines website activity with placement data. If you need support building a complex custom report, professional services assistance is available.

Web Performance Dashboard

The Web Performance Dashboard focuses on the candidate conversion funnel and helps you identify where candidates are dropping off during their journey. It is particularly useful when you want to understand how website traffic turns into applications and where improvements may be needed.

How you can use the Web Performance Dashboard

  • Review how many candidates view jobs versus how many go on to apply.

  • Identify the point in the funnel where drop-off is happening.

  • Compare which traffic sources are generating the most valuable applications.

  • Assess whether certain device types are underperforming.

  • Understand regional or location-based performance.

  • Review how consultants or position types are contributing to outcomes.

Example use cases:

Identifying candidate drop-off

You can review the funnel from Jobs Viewed to Jobs Applied to Application Views and identify the stage at which candidates are disengaging. This can help inform changes to job adverts, application flows, site usability, or candidate experience.

Device performance analysis

Your marketing or digital team can review Sessions by Device Type to identify whether mobile visitors are converting less effectively than desktop visitors. If mobile performance is lower, you can investigate and improve the mobile site experience.

Unified candidate journey reporting

Where Access also provides your CRM or ATS, Analytics can bring this data together with website activity into one analytical view.

This allows you to track a candidate's journey from:

  • First interaction with the website.

  • Job browsing and application activity.

  • Later recruitment outcomes such as placement.

This broader view helps connect website performance with downstream recruitment results.

Example use case: end-to-end journey tracking

If your organisation uses an Access CRM or ATS alongside Attract Evo, you may be able to view a fuller journey for each candidate in a single analytical window. This makes it easier to understand how sourcing and website activity contribute to final placements.

How Analytics differs from previous reporting

The previous Volcanic reporting model relied on standard reports and advanced reports accessed through the site back end.

The new Analytics experience introduces:

  • Dedicated dashboards instead of traditional back-end reporting views.

  • Broader and more visual insight into recruitment and website performance.

  • A unified data model that can incorporate website, CRM, and ATS data where available.

This makes Analytics a more modern and connected reporting experience than the earlier reporting tools.

Ongoing dashboard development

Analytics is an evolving feature, with more dashboards and metrics coming soon. For reporting beyond the standard dashboards, Data Engine lets you build your own reports using the underlying data. Professional services support is available for complex requirements.

📌 Note: Speak to your Customer Success Manager (CSM) to discuss this further.

Analytics and Copilot

Analytics data is also accessible through Copilot. For example, you can ask a question such as whether any jobs are expiring today and receive a direct answer based on your analytics data.

📌 Note: This guide focuses on the Analytics feature itself. Copilot access to Analytics data is a related but separate experience from using the Analytics dashboards directly.

FAQs

Q1: What is the difference between Analytics and the old reports?

  • Answer: The older reporting model used standard and advanced reports in the site back end. Analytics replaces this with dedicated dashboards that provide broader insights in a more connected and visual format. Where applicable, Analytics can also use a unified data model that includes CRM or ATS data.

Q2: How do I access Analytics?

  • Answer: Click the Access dropdown in the top left corner of Access Attract Evo, go to Products, and select Analytics. Analytics will open in a separate window.

Q3: Do I need to configure Analytics before using it?

  • Answer: No. Analytics is available directly within the Access Attract Evo workspace without any customer-facing setup steps.

  • Answer: Check that Google Analytics is connected to your site and that you have sufficient traffic. If the connection is in place but the dashboard remains empty, contact your Customer Success Manager or raise a support request.

Q5: Can I export Analytics data?

  • Answer: Yes. Individual charts can be exported as a PDF or SVG image, and you can view and export the underlying data table behind any chart. You can also use Copilot to query your Analytics data directly.

Q6: Can I request new dashboards or metrics?

  • Answer: Yes. More dashboards and metrics are coming soon. To request something specific, speak to your Customer Success Manager (CSM).

Q7: Can Analytics show the full candidate journey?

Q8: Are there any limitations I should be aware of?

  • Answer: Analytics is still evolving, and the exact set of available dashboards and metrics may expand over time as the feature develops. No specific known issues have been identified at this stage. The feature is also being rolled out progressively from March 2026. If you do not yet have access, it will be available to you soon.
