Before you start
Before you start, note the following:
Copilot is available within the Access Attract Evo workspace. No specific configuration is required to begin using it.
The SEO Optimisation skill requires a website domain to be connected to your account for site-specific analysis. General SEO questions can still be answered without a connected domain.
Each individual prompt is limited to 4,000 characters.
The maximised tab view is recommended for the best experience. The navigation panel (sidebar) view has a more limited display.
📌 Note: Copilot's SEO skill is a separate, conversational capability from the PulseCheck app. PulseCheck performs a structured site audit; the SEO skill answers SEO questions conversationally and can be pointed at your domain for improvement suggestions.
Finding Copilot
You can open Copilot in two ways:
Select the Access dropdown button in the top-left corner, then select Products, then select Copilot.
Select Copilot from the lower navigation bar within your Evo workspace.
Using Copilot
Use the steps below to ask questions, apply skills, and manage your conversation history.

Using Copilot without a skill
When no skill is selected, Copilot acts as a general AI assistant. You can ask it any question directly.
Open Copilot.
🤓 Tip: You can maximise the tab view for more options and better readability.

Type your question into the chat window.
Include as much detail as possible in your prompt.
Attach a screenshot if it provides useful context for your query.
Submit your prompt. Copilot will return a response.
Continue asking follow-up questions within the same session as needed.

🤔 Tip: More specific prompts produce more relevant answers. If you are unsure how to write an effective prompt, you can use an external AI tool to help you craft one before pasting it into Copilot.
Using Copilot with a skill
Skills focus Copilot's responses on a specific area. To use a skill:
Open Copilot.
Select the relevant skill from the skill options displayed at the top of the interface.
Type your question into the chat window, targeted to the selected skill's area of focus.
Submit your prompt. Copilot will return an answer scoped to that skill's data or capability.
Understanding Copilot's skills
Copilot includes six built-in skills, selectable from the top of the Copilot interface:
Skill | What It Does |
Analytics | Queries your Access Analytics data conversationally. Example: "Do we have jobs expiring today?" |
Evo Docs | Retrieves documents available on your connected website. Example: retrieve your privacy policy or cookies policy. |
Industry Knowledge | Provides recruitment-specific insights: salary benchmarks, market trends, and best-practice guidance. Example: "What were the top jobs for recruitment companies in 2025?" |
SEO Optimisation | Analyses your connected website domain for SEO improvement opportunities, or answers general SEO questions. Requires a connected domain for site-specific analysis. |
Volcanic Help | Searches Access Attract's knowledge base articles to answer product-specific questions with step-by-step instructions. Example: "How can I change the banner on my homepage?" |
Web Search | Searches the broader internet and returns relevant information from across the web. |

Prompt History
After you have used Copilot, a Prompts icon appears within the interface. Selecting it gives you access to your history of previous prompts. You can select and reuse any past prompt directly, saving time on frequently repeated queries.

Topic History
Available in the navigation panel, sidebar, view. Selecting Topic History shows your previous conversation threads, allowing you to return to an earlier session at any point.
Viewing Topic History
Open Copilot using the navigation panel (sidebar) view.
Select the Topic History button.
Browse your previous conversation topics.
Select a topic to return to that conversation thread.

Source references
When you use Copilot in the navigation panel view, it provides source references for the information it retrieves. You can follow these references to read more about the underlying sources consulted.

Feedback
Copilot includes a feedback option on responses. Rating a response helps improve Copilot's performance over time.

Best practices
Follow these recommendations to get the most from Copilot.
Use the maximised tab view for the best experience. The navigation panel view is useful for quick queries but has a more limited display.
Be specific in your prompts. The quality of Copilot's responses is directly influenced by the detail in your question. Vague prompts produce less relevant answers; detailed, specific prompts produce better ones.
Select the right skill for your task. Skills narrow Copilot's focus and typically produce more accurate, relevant answers than general queries.
Attach screenshots when your question relates to something visual — for example, a specific page layout or error on screen.
Use Prompt History to save time on tasks you repeat regularly.
Connect your domain to get the most from the SEO Optimisation skill. Without a connected domain, the skill can still answer general SEO questions but cannot analyse your specific site.

FAQs
Q1: Where do I find Copilot?
Answer: You can access Copilot from two places: via the Access dropdown button in the top-left corner, then Products, then Copilot, or from the Copilot item in the lower navigation bar of your Evo workspace.
Q2: Do I need to select a skill before I can use Copilot?
Answer: No. You can type a question directly into the chat window without selecting a skill. Skills are optional and are designed to provide more focused, accurate answers for specific topic areas. If you are unsure which skill to use, start without one.
Q3: What is the difference between the navigation panel and the full tab view?
Answer: The navigation panel shows Copilot as an embedded sidebar within your workspace. The full tab (maximised) view provides a larger interface with more options and is easier to work with for detailed queries. Topic History is accessible in the navigation panel view. The maximised view is recommended for most use cases.
Q4: Is there a limit on how many questions I can ask?
Answer: There is no stated limit on the number of prompts within a session — you can submit multiple questions one after another. However, each individual prompt is limited to 4,000 characters.
Q5: Can I refer back to questions I have asked before?
Answer: Yes, in two ways. The Prompts icon within Copilot gives you access to your prompt history so you can reuse previous queries. In the navigation panel view, Topic History lets you return to an earlier conversation thread in full.
Q6: What is the SEO Optimisation skill, and is it the same as PulseCheck?
Answer: No — they are separate tools. The SEO Optimisation skill in Copilot is a conversational capability: you can ask SEO questions and, if your domain is connected, Copilot can analyse your site and suggest improvements. PulseCheck is a structured audit tool that produces a detailed report on your site's SEO and accessibility. Use the SEO skill for quick questions and exploratory guidance; use PulseCheck for a formal site audit.
Q7: The SEO Optimisation skill says it needs a connected domain — what does that mean?
Answer: To analyse your specific website for SEO opportunities, Copilot needs your website domain to be connected to your account. If a domain is not connected, the SEO skill can still answer general SEO questions and provide guidance, but it will not be able to audit your specific site. Contact your Customer Success Manager if you are unsure whether your domain is connected.
Q8: What should I do if Copilot's response does not seem accurate or helpful?
Answer: First, try rephrasing your prompt with more specific detail — response quality is directly linked to the clarity of the question. If you are using a skill, check that you have selected the most appropriate one for your query. You can also use the feedback option on the response to flag it. If the issue persists, contact your Customer Success Manager.
Q9: Does Copilot remember my previous conversations?
Answer: Copilot stores a history of your prompts (accessible via the Prompts icon) and, in the navigation panel view, your previous conversation threads are available via Topic History. Select a previous topic to return to that conversation.
