What is Access Attract Evo?

Access Attract Evo is The Access Group's recruitment marketing platform, previously known as Volcanic. It helps recruitment agencies build, run, and optimise their candidate attraction activity, covering everything from branded careers sites and job publishing through to campaign management and performance analytics.

The platform operates across three layers:

What's changed from Volcanic

If you are an existing Volcanic user, the core tools you rely on, Design Studio, your templates, your branding, and no-code site control, are unchanged. Access Attract Evo adds an intelligence layer on top of what you already have.

Subscription Tiers

Access Attract Evo is available on two subscription tiers: Grow and Excel.

  • Both tiers include the full core platform: Design Studio, job publishing, campaign management, and the Conversion Intelligence layer, including the Conversion Health Score.

  • The Excel tier includes additional capabilities for agencies that need more advanced candidate engagement tools. WhatsApp Integration, for example, is available on the Excel tier only.

For a full breakdown of what is included in your subscription, contact your Account Manager or Customer Success Manager. The features available to your account depend on your tier and your rollout stage.

📌 Note: Not all features listed in this article may be visible in your account yet. See the How Features Roll Out section below for more detail.

Migrate your login to Access Evo Identity

Your login process for Access Attract is being upgraded to Access Evo Identity. This is a more secure authentication system that also gives you Single Sign-On (SSO) access across all Access products in your organisation. This is a one-time, mandatory migration that takes around 5–10 minutes.

  • The migration happens automatically on your next login. A popup will appear with a Create Access Evo account button. You cannot skip or close it.

  • You will need access to your registered email address to receive a verification code during the process.

  • Once complete, your old CMS password will no longer work. Use your new Access Evo password for all future logins.

  • If you already have an Access Evo account from another Access product, you do not need to create a new one. Use your existing credentials.

⚠️ If you cannot access your registered email address, you will be blocked from completing the migration and unable to log in. Contact your Customer Success Manager or Account Manager immediately to arrange a new admin account.

📌 Note: After migration, you will see the Access Button in the top-left corner of your dashboard. This is covered in the next section.

Ready to migrate? See the Access Evo Login Migration guide for the full step-by-step process and guidance on special scenarios.

Access Button

The Access Button is a platform-wide navigation component that appears in the top-left corner of Access Evo-integrated products once enabled. It gives you a single, consistent entry point for moving between connected Access products within your organisation. Without needing to re-authenticate each time where Access Identity is in place.

Before you start

One conditions must be met before the Access Button can be used:

  • Access Identity migration must be completed for your organisation.

⚠️ Important: If this condition is not met, the Access Button will not appear.

Use the Access Button

Once enabled and Access Identity migration is complete:

  1. Select the Access Button in the top-left corner of the screen.

  2. Review the connected products and platform features available to you.

  3. Select your destination: Where supported, the system moves you into the selected product without requiring another sign-in.

The main navigation bar gives you access to:

  • Access drop-down: Open Copilot, Feeds, and navigate to connected products

  • Products: Access Analytics, Learning, and other platform tools

Manage admin users and roles

Admin user management has moved from the Volcanic CMS to Access Evo. You now invite users and manage roles centrally in the Access Evo dashboard — bringing access controls together in one place.

  • All admin invitations must now be sent through the Members area in Access Evo.

  • Each user needs two roles configured: an organisation-level role and a Volcanic product role.

  • Setting a Volcanic product role to No Access suspends that user in Volcanic.

🤓 Tip: Open Access Evo anytime by clicking the Access Button in the top-left corner of the CMS and selecting Access Evo.

Ready to set up your team? See the Invite admin users to Access Attract Evo guide for full step-by-step instructions.

The Access Evo dashboard with the profile menu open in the top-right corner. Members is highlighted in the dropdown list.

PulseCheck

PulseCheck gives you your careers site health score at a glance, no developer experience needed. It audits your site across Performance, Accessibility, Best Practices, and Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), and shows separate scores for mobile and desktop.

  • Add PulseCheck to your dashboard first, search for 'Pulse Check' via Add App on My Dashboard. It is not listed under the Products menu.

  • Paste your live site URL, choose your device strategy, and run the audit.

  • Export your results as a PDF to share with your team.

🤓 Tip: Once added, PulseCheck appears as a dashboard tile for quick access in future.

Ready to run your first audit? See the PulseCheck guide for full instructions.

Copilot

Copilot is Access Attract Evo's built-in AI assistant. Ask it questions, get instant answers, and complete tasks. All through a familiar chat interface, without leaving the platform.

  • No configuration needed. Open Copilot from the Access dropdown or the lower navigation bar and start typing.

  • Choose from six built-in Skills, including Analytics, SEO Optimisation, Industry Knowledge, and Web Search, to focus Copilot's responses on a specific area.

  • Use the maximised tab view for the best experience.

To get help with the platform specifically, select the Volcanic Help skill before asking your question. This focuses Copilot's responses on help centre content and platform guidance, so you get relevant answers without leaving your workspace.

🤓 Tip: The more specific your prompt, the better Copilot's answer. Each prompt is limited to 4,000 characters.

Ready to try it? See the Copilot guide to learn about skills, prompt history, and getting the most out of every query.

Feeds

Feeds surfaces real-time alerts about your jobs and website performance in one consolidated panel. So you spend less time hunting for data and more time acting on it.

  1. No setup required. Visit the Access drop-down and click Feed to get started.

  2. Alerts cover expiring jobs, zero-application roles, weekly application summaries, daily traffic, high-performing jobs, and Applause shout-outs.

  3. Each alert links directly to the relevant job, application, or page for quick action.

🤓 Tip: Pin Feeds to your personal Space using Add App for even faster daily access.

Ready to explore? See the Feeds guide for full details on feed types and your daily workflow.

Analytics

Analytics replaces the standard and advanced reports from the Volcanic back end with dedicated dashboards that make your most important recruitment and website metrics easier to find and act on.

  • Open Analytics via the Access drop-down, then Products, then Analytics. No setup required.

  • The Web Performance Dashboard shows the candidate conversion funnel and helps you identify where drop-off is happening.

  • Where Access also provides your CRM or ATS, Analytics can unify data across the full candidate journey, from first visit through to placement.

Ready to dig in? See the Analytics guide for a full breakdown of available dashboards and metrics.

Spaces and Applause

Spaces and Applause are additional features within Access Attract Evo that help you personalise your workspace and celebrate your team.

Spaces

Spaces is your personalised dashboard. Add apps, such as PulseCheck, Feeds, Copilot, and Learning, so your most-used tools are always one click away.

Ready to customise your workspace? See the Spaces guide in the Access Evo Help Centre.

Applause

Applause lets any user send a public shoutout to a colleague. Shoutouts are visible to all employees and appear in the Feeds panel alongside your operational alerts.

Ready to recognise a colleague? See the Applause guide in the Access Evo Help Centre.

Learning

Access Evo Learning delivers compliance, product, and self-paced training modules, all from inside Access Attract Evo, without visiting an external system. Open it via the Access dropdown, then Products, then Learning, or add it to your Space for faster access.

Ready to explore the library? See the Learning collection in the Access Evo Help Centre.

How Features Roll Out

Access Attract Evo features are released progressively. This means not all customers receive access to new features at the same time.

Here is what this means in practice:

  • Your account is enabled in stages. New features are switched on for customers in batches, not all at once.

  • Your subscription tier determines which features are available to you. Some capabilities are included in the Excel tier only.

If you expect to see a feature but cannot find it in your account, check the following:

  1. Confirm Access Identity migration has been completed for your organisation.

  2. Check the relevant help article for any prerequisites or permission requirements.

  3. Contact your Account Manager or Customer Success Manager to confirm whether the feature has been enabled for your account and when it is expected to be available.

📌 Note: Access Attract Evo rollout began progressively from March 2025. The April 2026 release introduced Access Identity Migration, the Access Button, Feeds, the Web Performance Dashboard, PulseCheck, and Copilot.
