What You Need Before Starting

Before you start creating this integration, you'll need:

Set Up a Broadbean Legacy Token

Follow these steps to create and manage Legacy Tokens for a Broadbean integration:

  1. Log into the admin area.

  2. Click the Settings tab.

  3. Under the Site section, click Apps.

  4. Click the Legacy Tokens tab.

  5. Click the green + New button.

  6. Complete the relevant fields.

    1. Name: Add the name or title of the integration e.g. Broadbean.

    2. Domain: Add the domain of your Volcanic website (e.g., https://www.example.com.)

    3. Locale*: Add the locale or location for you jobs (e.g., en).

    4. Location locale*: Add the locale or location for your job locations (e.g., en).

    5. Permissions: Add the required actions or permissions this integration needs.

    6. Default job expiry date: If ticked, jobs sent over without an expiry date listed will be set to 30 days.

    7. Send invitation emails to new users? Optional, tick if preferred.

  7. Click Create Legacy Token

Enable Email Notification

Once the Legacy Token is set up, follow the below steps to enable an email notification, which ensures that job application data is routed back into Broadbean:

  1. Navigate to the Notification Centre in your Admin Area.

  2. Locate and enable: "When a candidate applies for a job... send the Access Volcanic job application email"

Enable Site Setting

Follow these steps, to enable this site setting. This setting ensures that candidate data is included in the email response to Broadbean:

  1. Go to the Settings tab in the Admin Area.

  2. Under the Site heading, select Site.

  3. Locate and check: Send candidate data in the emails

  4. Click Submit to save your changes.
